We have just returned from a trip to Montenegro, one of the former parts that once made Yugoslavia. We stayed in Podgorica, the capital city. It's in a deep valley, not directly at the coast but ideally situated to visit other places. From there you can ride to Tirana (Albania) or Sergbia and Croatia.
The stay at the hotel was quite cheap. All in all, everything was cheap in Montenegro. Unfortunately, it won't stay that way because Montenegro has applied for membershipt of the EU. They already have the Euro.
We made several excursions to places in the mountains and at the coast. We had a great time there, mostly sunny days with temperatures around 35° Celsius. Only one day we had thunderstorms in the morning and late evening.
I could eat well and had no other problems. Slowly on the mend, that is. It felt nice to at last see some sun, as the weather in Belgium has been bad, more like autumn. And it doesn't look as if it's going to improve!
