I just heard on the radio news that Belgium won the gold medal in baking (= patisserie). Well, no wonder as we do have the best bakers and also the best chocolate in the whole of Europe.
Makes me long to have some of the chocolates we bought last Saturday... We haven't touched them yet, as we had a dish with lots of cheese yesterday and we really didn't need a dessert.
What's your favorite in chocolate? Or in pastry? I love dark chocolate, especially with nuts in it. And for pastry I'd go for a 'miserable'. We have a bakery here in Dendermonde that is still there for the thrid generatiion and I love what they make.
